We have a blue merle Corgi that we purchased from a Breeder in Redding California. For 15 years we had a pembroke Corgi so when she passed away we waited 2 years time before deciding on buying a Blue Merle Corgi. However, you have to be careful of your breeder simply because if the result is too inbred the dog can go blind. For example, our female blue merle has one blue eye and one partly blue and partly brown eye but she is fine and definitely an alpha female dog and extremely intelligent. She loves people and when we are out walking with her people often fall in love with her because she really loves people and has never been mistreated and so is very trusting of all people she meets and so people tend to love her a lot. She is now 2 years old. However, you have to be prepared for a very intelligent independent dog. They become full members of your family and are sort of like more like having another person in your family because they are so unique as dogs. They think for themselves a lot and sometimes (talk to you) so this is a funny thing they do to in the funny noises they often make which make them unique from other dogs too. A wonderful addition to your family.
