Time is a product of the existence of a matter galaxy so those that built this galaxy also own all the time lines that came about through the building of this galaxy. Timelines that do not serve the galaxy are either changed or ended. It's sort of like the right to change time is considered by Galaxies sort of like Water rights if you own land you really want the rights to the water and any oil or minerals in or under the land too or flowing through the land.
Humans think they own Earth. However, the Earth has been a Galactic Park sort of like maybe Yosemite National Park or Yellowstone National Park but is viewed by the Galaxy sort of like people view the Hawaiian islands as a very beautiful place (as planets go). So, the planet is protected in various ways and so are the species.
You might say to me: Well they have failed in protecting all the species. But, I might say: "Global Climate change will likely take out 7 out of 8 people by 2100 AD. Why?
Because as the winds increase and sea level raises by likely 40 feet this century you won't be able to grow food on most of the surface of the planet anymore and might have to either grow underground with Solar Powered Grow lights or build greenhouses with bullet proof plexiglas roofs so the winds don't blow away all the leaves of everything that grows.
So, I would say that Humans have created a situation where the whole ecology will change this century but that it is likely that humans will survive all this. (Some of them)
