I just came from Santa Barbara where 10 inches of Rain caused various kinds of flooding in Santa Barbara too. Even my wife's bank was flooded out and all the carpets had to be removed and fans were blowing to dry out the floor in the bank. Though the bank was still open the sound of large fans blowing drying everything out and all the carpeting had to be permanently removed from the bank.
The point is 5 times as much rain can come down at higher temperatures now because the air can hold up to 5 times more moisture than at lower temperatures.
So, everyone around the world now has to expect periodic flooding at these higher temperatures. This is a given. So, many more people are likely to die in the future as the oceans heat up more and more causing more and more of this flooding.
