Philosophy
The philosophical process is about asking questions. Often the end result of asking these kinds of questions becomes or became all the sciences or will become sciences in the near or distant future. So, from philosophy comes not only questions but the answers potentially to all questions. Answering questions that previous generations have asked people develop their personal philosophies of life from their direct and shared experiences in life. So philosophical questioning is the basis of human civilization and always has been. Religions are also a part of these questions and answers. Some choose to accept religious answers and some do not. But I think it is important to realize that everyone believes what they do in order to find a way to survive here on earth.
