Crowdsourcing Radiation in Japan

Though crowdsourcing radiation in the U.S. isn't working yet. Here is a site for crowdsourcing radiation in Japan the "japanstatus.org" is trying to get the info out to those who wish a real crowdsourced information source. Hopefully, if this thing goes on much longer, there will be useful crowdsourcing in Hawaii and the U.S. Mainland as well in regard to radiation status worldwide in the air, on the land and in the food and in the ocean and food from the ocean.

Radiation levels

Radiation levels are expressed in micro-Sieverts/hour (µSv/h)
On average, a person is exposed to 2400 µSv/year or 0.27 µSv/h in normal conditions (Source: IAEA, figure can vary by several hundred % according to location)

• Tokyo: 3/24 ~0.138 µSv/h #
• Osaka: 3/24 ~0.049 µSv/h #
• Kyoto: 3/24 ~0.038 µSv/h #
