Radiation Spikes in Sea Near Japan Plant
There was a statement that caught me eye this morning. It said that even though radiation in the ocean is at 1250 times the legal limit next to Fukushima that it was okay because no one was allowed to fish within 20 kilometers of the area anyway. My reaction to this is: Fish Swim, especially predator fish that range around looking for food. Not every fish stays within a local area. So, because many species in the sea range around all over the Pacific, those species could get dosed and remain radioactive and still enter the food chain outside the 20 kilometer limit, on the other side of Japan or Hawaii or even in the U.S. Mainland between Alaska and Southern California and who would know?
