Student loan rates set to double Saturday to 6.8%
Since Student Loan debt is presently higher in the U.S. than Credit Card debt the fact that student loan rates are set to double to 6.8% Saturday June 30th, 2012, it might be important to write your congressperson to see if they can do anything about it. However, the present political gridlock in Congress has stopped Congress so far in being able to do anything. I , personally have never seen as dysfunctional a Congress in my lifetime of presently 64 years. Historically, after World War II President Truman faced a Congress like this and ran against Congress and won. I think things are changing so fast worldwide and are just so absolutely paradoxical like they were at the end of World War II in some ways that the world is just too insane to have a functional Congress. However, without a functional Congress we do not have a democracy. As long as you and I know that maybe we can get back to a functional democracy within the next couple of years again. Because if we don't we won't have a democracy at all.
