Actually, this happens all the time. One of the main reasons, I believe this is true is that, for example, only 30% of U.S. Citizens have passports. If you went to Europe and told people this they would be horrified. Because in Europe almost everyone speaks about 4 languages and travels fairly extensively. But, here in the U.S. people tend to be very provincial and not very informed (in a useful way) about what is going on in the rest of the world or in regard to world history(What happened on earth the last 20,000 years?).
So, in this relatively uninformed country, one can actually speak the truth about all sorts of things an 70% of the people just wouldn't believe them because they haven't left their city or state in many cases, and have never talked to many people who think much different from themselves. It's always funny to me when I go to a state and everyone thinks that their point of view is universal. I usually go along with them to be polite because I'm not one usually to rock the boat in person. My Dad was a real boat rocker and I had had enough of "blowing up everyone's balloons" so to speak at every event or party that I attended with my Dad. He had no problem at all of telling ANYONE they were full of it. However, that sort of bluntness you just didn't see as much in the U.S. after the 1980s, especially when "Political Correctness" reared it's ugly head. Now, everyone sort of lies through their teeth in order to be "Politically Correct". However, underneath nothing has really changed in people's hearts since the 1950s. I actually would rather someone tell me what they feel than sit there and lie to me all afternoon or night. Wouldn't you? However, with political correctness, lying became more fashionable in order to save everyone's feelings. But, when people lie like they do now it is actually much more dangerous because you never know when someone is about to explode. When people were more direct at least you had some warning as to when they were about to physically get crazy in some way. So, political correctness just makes a lot of people crazy nowadays. Even though in some situations it saves people's feelings and lives. But in other situations people just wind up dead because of all the lying in political correctness.
So, now you know for sure I think political correctness is dangerous on a personal level. However, if you are a diplomat between countries, political correctness might prevent wars. However, as long as you know when you are lying and when you aren't, you will be ahead of the game.
So, I try to tell the most truth about everything I write that I feel that it is safe enough to tell. There once was a T-Shirt that a lot of kids wore that said, "My parents must think I'm a mushroom. They sit me in a corner and feed me Bullshit!" This was a very popular T-Shirt during the 1960s and 1970s and demonstrated how many people felt about being lied to then.
So, even though at times you might think I'm writing Science Fiction. Actually, I'm not. I'm actually just sharing truth at a higher level than you are used to hearing. Of course you also have to realize that my life experience as a world traveler has led me to believe that movies like MIB 1,2, or 3
(MEN In Black 1,2, or 3) are only a comedic preparation for the real thing. What you laugh at today, you sort of have to be prepared for tomorrow to be real. That's the best way that I can put it. So, once again thanks Stephen Spielberg for all the Men in Blacks, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T., and all the rest! It's really good preparation for the future!
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
