Being empowered is the opposite of being a victim. It is not necessarily about what one does or even their life circumstances. It is all about attitude. Being a victim is a choice and being empowered is a choice. Understanding this is completely freeing. So, choosing to be completely empowered will completely change your life if you aren't already empowered in your consciousness.
Sometimes when your physical circumstances make you feel like you are a victim it is important to be wise and to take stock of your surroundings and your life and if you don't like it you need to change it. So, being empowered one must be brave and bold. It doesn't mean that you have to hurt anyone or to break anything. It usually means if you are being victimized in one way or another usually at first the best way to empower yourself is to leave that victimizing situation. Most of the time you can't get fully into your new state of empowerment without going somewhere else for awhile and becoming internally who you need to be to survive and to be empowered. After you empower yourself and are strong enough then if you really need to return to that situation and change the things that need to be changed. But remember, being empowered is not about violence it is about justice and compassion.
