I was thinking about how housing might change through global warming especially for wealthier people who can afford to build both high off the ground as well as under the ground. I was envisioning an underground house, maybe built multistory with at least a basement completely below ground with mirrors bringing sunlight and maybe a view of the surrounding landscape to the basement. Then I was envisioning a floor level with the outside landscape built with a dirt burm up on top of the house with a lawn on top but with windows looking out at the surrounding view. Then I was also envisioning a third story built 1 or two stories higher with stairs or an elevator leading up to that for a "Bird's eye view". This could just be a large veranda or deck or it could be more sophisticated but would serve a multi-purpose which would be 15 or even 20 feet above the underground and Burm topped house which would be used for viewing the sky and view or more sophisticated as almost like a "Tree house" for times of potential flooding of that area.
I think multi-level multi-purpose homes built to survive ANY potential calamity of that area on earth will become more and more common as time goes on with Global Warming. Most of the time having an underground section of one's house almost completely eliminates the need for heating or air conditioning. Having other sections of the house one at ground level and one higher up serves both aesthetic and practical functions of survival during floods, watching the night or morning or sunsets etc.
So, multi-level multi-purpose housing serves literally all the needs of the occupants whether they be staying warm, staying cool, staying alive or just being entertained by changes in the weather there. I think this type of multi-level housing will be more of what people choose who are practical about how to survive any climate change possible.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
