Last night I noticed "TRansformers the movie 2003 was on TV so I DVRed it on my TIVO. Today, I found it and started watching it and was thinking at what point computers and AI would become or already are self aware. I think the definition of self aware has to be reworked because someone can now easily simulate a self aware computer. However, simulating a self aware computer or robot might not be the same as actually being self aware. However, if you are killed by a computer or AI robot of some sort simulating a self aware being what is really the difference.
In other words, "How many times have people been executed already by Predator drones when they were separated by pilot signal from the drone?" In other words the AI in a Predator drone simulates already a self aware being. So, if it has given the command as an AI being to execute humans on earth what is really the difference between an AI being doing that itself or a human doing it at controls several thousand miles away by Satellite?
