Owning a house that is completely paid for is one way to prevent poverty
Owning a house that is paid for allows sometimes many relatives a place to live in and keeps one or more of them often during different periods of their lives from slipping into poverty especially when their health starts to go during aging or when they become injured on the job or elsewhere.
