Grit is either something you have or you don't. And many people who don't have it are dead before their times.
Grit is not about a college degree (whether you have one or not) and it is not even about a high school Diploma (whether you have one or not). Grit is sort of an anger where you say to yourself, "NO matter what happens I will NEVER give up I will NEVER give in I will find a way forward NO MATTER WHAT!
Grit is not conditional upon whether you get the job you wanted or not. Grit is not conditional whether your life goes the way you want it to or not. Grit is about finding a way forward NO MATTER WHAT!
Because in the end, for all of us, "LIFE IS WHAT HAPPENS TO US WHILE WE ARE MAKING OTHER PLANS!"
And if you don't like it, You get up and keep going on anyway, for yourself, your parents, your children, your spouse, your friends. You never give up you never say die. That is grit.
No one's life goes the way they want it too. Or if it does it doesn't always go this way. So, no matter what happens you find a way to live on for yourself and everyone you know.
This is Grit!
What gave me Grit?
Likely having people who settled this country from the 1720s on who landed in Philadelphia harbor in something like the Mayflower only more evolved by 100 years. So, the early white settlers in this country had to be very hardy indeed or they died just like most did then. So, there is a physical component to this in genetics and then there is an attitude component as well. Also, you need a certain amount of adaptability and intelligence to keep going on no matter what too.
When I discovered I had grit? I was 2 years old and was dying of whooping cough and then Archangel Michael and his band of warrior Archangels appeared to me wearing armor and treating me as one of their own. This is when I knew I had grit and wasn't going to die and needed to soldier on no matter what. This would be when I knew I would have to be strong and to fight for life always both for myself and all others here on earth.
So this is when I realized first that I had grit in this lifetime. As time went on I discovered I am a consummate survivor. IF I am proud of something in my life it is that I have survived everything I have been through in my life By God's Grace. The other thing would be all my children are doing well.
So, I don't really take credit for my grit I give Credit to God and to my genetics which God provided.
I have often been surprised at people dying all around me while I went on By God's Grace. Oftentimes people I felt much psychologically or physically stronger than I was at the time. So, all this to me often seems very arbitrary of who lives and who dies when. But then, I'm not completely omniscient like God is either. So, I'm always surprised on one level or another when people pass on unexpectedly.
The other thing I have to say here is the older you get the grittier you tend to get. It comes with the territory.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
