When you see how children are being treated by the Trump administration now you can see that human rights in general are being violated. The problem with a precedent like this is it might be hard for future presidents to change this "Bad Behavior" towards children in the next administration whether it be Democratic or Republican. People willing to harm children (as long as they are hispanic) brings (any means to an ends) which is how Hitler justified burning Jewish people alive too.
When you hire the type of people willing to abuse children like this you are bound to create people willing to rape or otherwise harm or not protect these children while in custody too. This is a given in situations like this.
The permanent Traumas the Trump administration has bestowed upon both parents and children seeking asylum in the U.S. , movies likely will be made about in many countries for decades if not centuries to come depicting the end of human rights (at least for hispanic minorities) trying to survive their lives by seeking refuge in the U.S.
But, as you treat one minority like this you start moving down the slippery slope to treating all minorities the same way and even the majorities could also be treated this way in the future.
So, this slippery slope is dangerous beyond mention at this point that the Trump administration is taking us down.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
