Yamaha yz250f? with snow conversion kits?

I noticed while I was at Bunny flats that there was a motorcycle (and off road motorcycle) converted to be like a snowmobile. Then later, I was at a local restaurant and saw this type of motorcycle built for snow with people doing flips and jumps with them on a sports TV channel with people competing with these converted motorcycles into a snowmobile type of vehicle instead. When I did more research I found a kit that fits the yz250f and the yz450f where you can convert the off road motorcycle when you want to to ride in snow like a snowmobile. This seemed interesting to me as I would like something like this. However, I'm 70 years old and likely my friends and relatives might say this would be too much. But, it looks like a lot of fun. But, I worry about falling down off the bike and getting ones boots into the gears of the Rear Track sort of that powers the thing through the snow. So, I can see how it might be dangerous if you dump in the snow because it seems like you would be more top heavy than in a regular snowmobile. But, turning might be easier in one of these once you mastered it than in a snowmobile and you likely could to more things as long as you were careful. I love riding off road in the dirt and thought "Wow!" I could ride off road in the snow too!" which seems like a really wonderful idea at this point.

So, I looked at the 250f and the 450f in a new light now I see they can be converted to be almost like a snowmobile for the snow after I saw a 450f being ridden below Bunny Flats where it is legal to ride something like this in the snow.

But then, I'm having some trouble picking up my KLR 650 because of a hernia I now have. One way I compensate for this is to wear a weight lifting belt made by Nike when I ski or ride a motorcycle so if I fall I won't explode my hernia which is near my navel. (Where there's a will there's a way).

I'm still recovering from falling on the ice skiing at Mt. Shasta Ski Park when I skied a little to late in the day in the shade of some trees a week ago last Tuesday and falling on the ice on Castle Lake before I realized there was no snow for edges this year so if you go throwing your skis forward and you aren't noticing your skis will separate and you might do the splits if you ski out on the lake with Cross country or mountaineering skis. My friend found a method where he just kept his skis together and pushed with his poles but I hadn't waxed my skis so this didn't work for me. So, I had to walk across the ice covered lake slower because of no wax and I didn't want to dislocate my hips by doing sideways splits at 70. So, when I started to go splits I just fell back on my right rear end quickly to avoid a really serious injury.

In other words last week Castle lake was pure ice and someone said their relative had been ice skating on it because there is no snow to remove to easily ice skate. (even though some places there are bubbles in the ice one foot or more across near the surface you might have to watch out for there. But, my friend said it was over 5 inches deep as of last week. It is possible the rain that came down melted any snow on the ice before this before it froze at night and created this very unusual condition that I had never seen before on Castle Lake across from Mt. Shasta. Usually there is between 3 inches to several feet of snow on top of the ice on Castle Lake every year that it got cold enough to freeze in the first place as far back as I can remember which would be 1953 when I first went to the lake in the summer and I started skiing across the lake with friends in 1976 when I bought my first cross country skis in Oregon in Ashland then. Now I own metal edged Mountaineering skis which are safer so if you get traversing exposure and it turns to ice you have edges so you don't die by sliding 100 to 500 feet sideways when you don't have metal edges for control on ice. Without edges there is only one way to stop that I know of which is to pull the loops off one pole and grab the base and jam in your point and drag it into the snow until you stop. This is how you survive if you have no other choice. This has happened to me more than once before I bought metal edged mountaineering skis. But, remember because this will save your life if you are in trouble on an icy slope can can't stop sliding. If you don't have skis but only an ice axe this will stop you too as long as you have a good enough grip on the handle or are wearing a loop on the ice axe to give you more strength to stop.
