Lightning, Thunder and heavy rain coming down in Santa Barbara
My wife said the lightning and thunder woke her up between 5 and 6 am this morning. I went outside to see the water coming down under the eve of the roof on the veranda in a lounge chair about 6:45 am and couldn't believe the amount of water coming off the roof into the gutters and drains. The rain was so thick I couldn't see the nearest coastal range mountains across the valley here in Santa Barbara. I was a little concerned about the people in nearby Montecito which has some pretty serious problems usually in heavy rain lately for the last year or so.
