Because of the late Rains into may the fires are just starting now in California here in September
So, likely we could have fires now until the rains begin. So, the sooner the rains begin (hopefully) the fires might stop if it isn't another drought year. Each year is very different lately. For example, in Mt. Shasta starting about the 5th or 6th of July last year (2018) there were 40 days of smoke in the little town of Mt. Shasta straight. This year it has mostly been okay so far. I noticed even where I live that water is in some streams still now in September 2019 which most drought years is gone by about May or June here on the coast.
