This is true by the way. The other thing that is true about this is it doesn't just kill poor uneducated people it kills rich people and everything in between too.
So, people are calling this "The Great Equalizer".
But, recognizing that in some pandemics it killed 95% of all people exposed to the pandemic.
We are actually very lucky that in the richer countries it can be as low as 2% of the population that dies (eventually) from Covid-19. "Eventually" being what would happen without a useful vaccine.
and 328.2 million in (2019)
is the population of the U.S. according to Google that I searched just now. and 2% of that would be:
6,564,000.
So, 6,564,000 is the actual number of Americans
this Covid-19 is likely to kill eventually without a
vaccine within the next 5 years or so.
Understanding that this is between 6 and 10 times greater
than all the Americans that died in World War II you
can see what we now face in the U.S. and throughout
the world at this time.
This is why a vaccine is everything in this right now.
(If this covid-19) can be stopped by a vaccine. This
is debatable at present as to whether a vaccine can
be created that will protect everyone yet. Many
are being tested right now (different vaccines).
