Why?
Because at age 64 I was paying 1800 a month or more for full health insurance coverage. And my wife this year was doing the same until she gets on medicare too. Once you get medicare at age 65 you can take care of your health needs.
For example, my present best friend (my other two best friends died in 2006 and 2011). So, my present best friend didn't like paying for doctors or health care at all. So, my biggest worry with him was him surviving until he could get Medicare. Because both his father and mine had died from complications from prostate cancer. And his father and I were friends. And his father and mine had both built their own houses. And my friend and I both helped each other build our own houses too.
The main difference is that he still has his house that I helped him build but I sold my 2 1/2 acres in 1989. But, I have homes now along the coast instead of in Mt. Shasta.
I likely would still own a house in Mt. Shasta but I can't get my wife to live there. So, my solution has been to spend one week in 5 up in Mt. Shasta with my friends going skiing or 4 wheeling in my 4wd Tundra the last 10 years or so.
Anyway, try to survive until you get Medicare because after that "The Sky's the limit!"
