If you have a blog likely this will be true for you too. However, my thought when I first started checking my stats of the number of people visiting on each article was a rude awakening in many ways for me. But, at the same time I realized that many people's interests and mine intersected in many different ways. So, as I noticed what people wanted to read the most I found that I could give people more of what they wanted to read and at the same time I could also write more what I wanted to write about at the same time. Each blogger has to decide what they want and what they want to do with their blog. But, this is what I decided when I started reading my statistics of what people were wanting to read the most at this site.
For example, some days you might find really cool stuff that you know a lot of people will be interested in reading and other days not so much. It's all a matter of chance from my point of view.
However, if you are interested in a lot of subjects and get curious about what you find in many different subjects and then try to drill down into subjects more when you have questions, then your site likely will become more and more interesting to more people over time.
But, having the time and the health ongoing to create and to maintain a blog is another thing entirely. Some people have blogs who have to work long hours. So, if their blog doesn't earn them enough money then that is a problem for them.
For me, I never started this blog or any blog because I wanted to make money. The opposite is true actually for me. Money wasn't my problem by the time I started blogging. My biggest problem was just trying to stay alive for my wife and kids and friends. So, when I started blogging it was to give gratitude for all the gifts God and Life have given me all during my life.
Often I can say about myself: "There but for the Grace of God go I" as I watch people die or go crazy along the way.
So, I'm always Grateful for each gift God has given me: from my wife and children to my friends and to a wonderful world to live in. For the finances to visit places like Mt. Shasta and Santa Barbara and hopefully one day again, Hawaii and Europe and other interesting places around the world.
By God's Grace
