If the U.S. wasn't fully armed (with hunting rifles) at the time of the Revolutionary war there would be no United States right now. Without at least one fully armed big nation that is a democracy, democracy would not exist anywhere on earth and it would not exist here either.
This is what people often forget about having an armed nation like the U.S. where people are free to own rifles for hunting. IF and when Rifles with scopes for shooting like snipers all enemies of the people foreign or domestic there will be NO MORE DEMOCRACIES left on earth at that point or likely after that too.
Having an armed populace keeps governments and militaries honest. Without an armed populace of at least one large nation on earth there could ONLY be tyranny everywhere and nothing else.
Police and militaries when they are all volunteer like now instead of a draft always become subject to nepotism and then like what we presently see in Myanmar now eventually. Look at their democracy there.
Where is it today?
A corrupt military took it away.
This is why an armed large democratic nation is necessary for democracies to exist anywhere on earth at all!
