The sun reverses it's magnetic poles every 11 years like right now with the Aurora borealis happenings down to Arizona

 But, Earth doesn't reverse magnetic poles very often. However, it does do magnetic excursions more often  like the Laschamp magnetic excursion about 41,000 years ago. Also, a full reversal takes between 1000 to 10,000 years and during that time all sorts of species die out or are significantly genetically altered while the magnetic fields go down to 5% or 10% of what they were during the 20th century.

For example, the magnetic fields generally around the polar regions (north and south) have dropped around 90% since 2000.

One of my theories is that we are possibly going into another excursion and maybe this is what is going on rather than a global climate change caused by ever increasing CO2 (carbon dioxide) (which is what we breathe out). It's possible that instead what we may be experiencing is another Magnetic Excursion like during the Laschamp excursion 41,000 years ago. An even more remote possibility is that we are entering a full magnetic Reversal or another Ice age.

Global climate changes like we are presently experiencing also can be a harbinger of a coming ice age.

So, we know something is going on here on earth different than the 20th century but it's possible that it's many things not just CO2 off the charts and drastically warming seas causing more rain some places and less other places.
