We are also just a day or two away from the shortest day of the year and after that days will get longer again which for me is a relief. I greatly like the longer days of spring and summer.

for us we have family coming to visit us for Christmas which is good for us too because of my wife's rehabilitation after a hip surgery in the middle of November from which she is still recovering. So, because of her recovery we have been pretty landlocked and unable to travel during the last month or so. I like to travel a lot when weather and health permits so this has been a very long month for me.
However, having Family here for Christmas will be wonderful for both of us.
