My wife called one of her relatives in North Carolina

Much of my wife's mother's family is on the east coast primarily in North Carolina. She called a male cousin that she knows well around her age in his 60s and he said she was the first phone call to get through to him in 3 days so far. He says they have no potable water and everyone is stranded there where he lives in North Carolina and he says much of the state is also like this too.

I looked at Asheville, North Carolina on my Google maps on my Iphone and most large roads into and out of Asheville are still cut some for miles and miles especially to the north, East and West of Asheville. So, I think the biggest problem is becoming potable water and food at this point because it's not cold enough yet for staying warm to be a problem I think.

Here are the Asheville, N.C Temperatures which are mild this time of year so I think people will be okay in this temperature range without electric heaters as long as they close up their houses when the temperatures start to drop at night. Some people might also have fireplaces or wood stoves for this problem too.

However, the rain might be a problem and cause even more flooding because of how saturated the ground already is from Florida north to Tennessee already.
