Light rain on the Northern California coast near San Francisco

The weather lady last night said that the heaviest rain would be in the Santa Cruz Mountains but it's also falling lightly all along the coast there. It's raining heavier the closer you get to Mt. Shasta and the Sierras. However, what is strange in this storm is that it is too warm to create snow which is likely why there is flooding in Washington sTate too. Because when it all comes down as rain instead of both rain and snow at different altitudes you can be sure there is going to be flooding this time of year with Atmospheric Rivers that are very common this time of year through about April or so. So, Washington State and possibly Oregon too aren't out of the woods yet regarding flooding.

However, here in Central Western California the sun isn't even coming up until after 7 am (even though I'm told in Mt. Shasta now it isn't coming up until around 8 am or so too. However, you look at it it is definitely winter but much warmer generally speaking that it usually is all over which is why there isn't snow much anywhere yet.

However, they do expect some snow (whether it sticks or not is another question) in Mt. Shasta City at least on

Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday so far as you can see in the weather report below.
