However, after finding out about the 10days of Tule Fog in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys we decided to travel north on 101 instead to go 101, then 680 then 80 then 505 then 5 to get to Mt. Shasta.
Though I have traveled this route a lot before around 1995 I haven't done it much since I almost died in 1998 and 1999 simply because I found it too stressful.
However, since they have created cars with basically automatic driving to where driving is about 10 percent as complicated (at least for me) as it used to be I find it is relatively stress free driving through the SF Bay area today even with traffic.
What was amazing to me the most though is that it was in the 50s and 60s as we drove north around 10 am 10 the 101.
However, as soon as we hit the Tule Fog in Benecia after going over the bridge the temperature suddenly dropped to a very cold feeling 47 degrees and stayed this way up to around Red Bluff and then opened up and it was in the high 50s or low 60s all the way to California.
It made me realize how we could have another ice age with too many clouds from Global Climate changes if this gets to be more normal around the world with no sun hitting the ground for weeks or months at a time various places.
This could happen I presently believe because of the 5 times the amount of moisture that air can now handle than before at these higher temperatures and this is why flooding is so insane around the world too.
So, from my present point of view ever increasing flooding and cold fog could change weather patterns significantly worldwide and already is.
For example, what if fog or clouds covered areas all year long and reduced the ground temperatures so much that snow would stick more and stay there and not melt at all during the coming years various places?
I'm not saying this will happen.
I just realized today that this could happen some places on earth where snow would not melt year around for months or years at a time.
