When I first wrote about Arcane in 1980

When I first wrote about Arcane in 1980 I don't believe home computers existed for the most part except I did own a 1978 TRS-80 from Radio Shack. However, since I didn't have a printer yet for that I didn't see this TRS-80 as a hard copy maker (printed out paper) so I didn't take it as seriously as when we had something like an AT computer IBM Clone that I bought in 1987 along with an Epsom Color printer (both for around 2500dollars total. The TRS-80 in 1978 was 800 dollars and you could write programs in Basic Language so I taught my children to program their own games in Basic Language then.

An AT Computer was usually on MS-DOS (meaning Microsoft Disc Operating System) which allowed languages like Basic to also be used which was common then. Then after this Came Windows 95 which began operating systems more similar to what you see today. But, it sort of all began (Microsoft stuff at least) with MS-DOS when Bill Gates was the head of Microsoft and Steve Jobs was the head of Apple.
