It still feels a little strange but finding out online that when you have oral surgery and have a tooth removed and then in the process a bone graft your whole mouth area up to your front teeth can stay numb to some degree and up almost to your eye and neck is normal in the healing process. This is said can last up to one month. They also utilize now a phlebotomist to draw some blood and then process it to shoot some of the refined immunological aspects back into the oral surgery for faster and more effective healing now as well.
Someone who works for us a couple of days a week in the afternoons told us his daughter is a phlebotomist who does this too for an oral surgeon as well. So, this is something new since my last implant was installed which was a molar on the upper right jaw. Now I have to have two more because I had to have two rear molars removed because I'm 78 now and at a certain point you can't do root canals anymore because the whole tooth might collapse like two of mine did this year. However, it only took about 1/3 the time with an actual Oral Surgeon to do this this time because he is a specialist removing teeth and doing implants. I think this is most of what an oral surgeon might do. Not sure. Haven't studied this enough to more fully know.
