I was at our nutritionist's office with my wife and I said, "If the three of us make it to 2050 it is possible that we may never die." I was somewhat surprised when the nutritionist agreed with me. Sometimes I forget that other people with scientific, medical or technical backgrounds also can see the writing on the wall regarding human immortality. As the Intelligentsia of the world accepts the fact that humans who are alive by 2050 and have the resources and means will become potentially immortal the whole psychology of life on earth will change. People will become less fearful who are educated and be more afraid of accidents but not really fearful anymore of "Having to die" with no other alternative.
Because being potentially immortal doesn't mean that you cannot die in an accident. It just means that if you are not in a fatal accident of one kind or another you might never die if you live beyond a certain point with the health and means to support yourself indefinitely. So, at the point you become potentially immortal your only real enemies will be accidents, extreme weather events and loss of income. Most all other health problems you will be able to manage one way or another. This is the future for the whole human race who choose to become potentially immortal.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
