Clint Eastwood: The Libertarian
Though people are focusing on Clint Eastwood and the empty chair. I think it is more interesting that Clint actually considers himself to be a Libertarian likely more than he identifies with being a Republican. So, this would mean that candidate Ron Paul would be much more to his liking than Romney. But since Romney is the only game in town now since Ron Paul is not running as an independent, Clint Eastwood was forced (just like many who supported other candidates) to support Romney. But for me, I consider myself to be a libertarian at core myself. But to me, a libertarian cannot be really a Republican or democrat because part of the philosophy is a form of self responsibility and non-interference with other nations that the founding fathers also shared in their basic philosophy. So, I guess I'm saying that Libertarians can be found among independents (the most likely place) but then also libertarians also can be found among both Democrats and Republicans as well. So, to me, this is much more interesting than the fact that Clint Eastwood was talking to an empty chair. And to me, Ron Paul could as easily been an independent candidate like Ross Perot or he could have been even a Democratic Libertarian in addition to being an actual Republican.
