THE COMTE DE ST. GERMAIN
CHAPTER I
MYSTIC AND PHILOSOPHER

HE was, perhaps, one of the greatest philosophers who ever lived. The friend of humanity, wishing for money only that he might give to the poor, a friend to animals, his heart was concerned only with the happiness of others.--Mémoires de Mon Temps, p. 135. S. A. LE LANDGRAVE CHARLES, PRINCE DE HESSE. (Copenhagen, 1861.)

DURING the last quarter of every hundred years an attempt is made by those Masters, of whom I have spoken, to help on the spiritual progress of Humanity. Towards the close of each century you will invariably find that an outpouring or upheaval of spirituality--or call it mysticism if you prefer--has taken place. Some one or more persons have appeared in the world as their agents, and a greater or less amount of occult knowledge or teaching has been given out.--The Key to Theosophy (p. 194). H. P. BLAVATSKY

THE Comte de St. Germain was certainly the greatest Oriental Adept Europe has seen during the last centuries.--Theosophical Glossary, H. P. BLAVATSKY.

AMONG the strange mysterious beings, with which the eighteenth century was so richly dowered, no one has commanded more universal comment and attention than the mystic who was known by the name of the Comte de St. Germain. A hero of romance; a charlatan; a swindler and an adventurer; rich and varied were the names

p. 2

that showered freely upon him. Hated by the many, loved and reverenced by the few, time has not yet lifted the veil which screened his true mission from the vulgar speculators of the period. Then, as now, the occultist was dubbed charlatan by the ignorant; only some men and women here and there realised the power of which he stood possessed. The friend and councillor of kings and princes, an enemy to ministers who were skilled in deception, he brought his great knowledge to help the West, to stave off in some small measure the storm clouds that were gathering so thickly around some nations. Alas! his words of warning fell on deafened ears, and his advice went all unheeded.

Looking back from this distance of time it will be of interest to many students of mysticism to trace the life, so far as it may yet be told, of this great occultist. Sketches are to be found here and there from various writers, mostly antagonistic, but no coherent detailed account of his life has yet appeared. This is very largely owing to the fact that the most interesting and important work, done by M. de St. Germain, lies buried in the secret archives of many princely and noble families. With this fact we have become acquainted during the careful investigations which we have been making on the subject. Where the archives are situated we have also learned,

p. 3

but we have not yet in all cases received permission to make the necessary researches.

It must be borne in mind that the Comte de St. Germain, alchemist and mystic, does not belong to the French family of St. Germain, from which descended Count Robert de St. Germain; the latter was born in the year 1708, at Lons-le-Saulnier, was first a Jesuit, and entered later in turn the French, Palatine, and Russian military services; he became Danish Minister of War under Count Struensee, then re-entered the French service, and at the beginning of the reign of Louis XVI., he tried, as Minister of War, to introduce various changes into the French army; these raised a violent storm of indignation; he was disgraced by the king and finally died in 1778. He is so often confounded with his mystic and philosophic namesake, that for the sake of clearing up the ignorance that prevails on the matter it is well to give these brief details, showing the difference between the two men; unfortunately the disgrace into which the soldier fell is but too often attributed to the mystic, to whom we will now turn our entire attention.

That M. de St. Germain had intimate relations with many high persons in various countries is quite undeniable, the testimony on this point being overwhelming. That such relations should

p. 4

cause jealousy and unkindly speculation is unfortunately not rare in any century. Let us, however, see what some of these princely friends say. When questioned by the Herzog Karl August as to the supernatural age of this mystic, the Landgraf von Hessen-Phillips-Barchfeld replied: "We cannot speak with certainty on that point; the fact is the Count is acquainted with details about which only contemporaries of that period could give us information; it is now the fashion in Cassel to listen respectfully to his statements and not to be astonished at anything. The Count is known not to be an importunate sycophant; he is a man of good society to whom all are pleased to attach themselves. . . . He at all events stands in close relation with many men of considerable importance, and exercises an incomprehensible influence on others. My cousin the Landgraf Karl von Hessen is much attached to him; they are eager Freemasons, and work together at all sorts of hidden arts. . . . He is supposed to have intercourse with ghosts and supernatural beings, who appear at his call." 1

Herr Mauvillon, in spite of his personal prejudice against M. de St. Germain, is obliged to acknowledge the feeling of the Duke towards

p. 5

the great alchemist. For on his supposed death being mentioned in the Brunswick newspaper of the period, wherein M. de St. Germain was spoken of as "a man of learning," "a lover of truth," "devoted to the good" and "a hater of baseness and deception," the Duke himself wrote to the editor, expressing his approbation of the announcement. 1

In France M. de St. Germain appears to have been under the personal care, and enjoying the affection of Louis XV., who repeatedly declared that he would not tolerate any mockery of the Count, who was of high birth. It was this affection and protection that caused the Prime Minister, the Duc de Choiseul, to become a bitter enemy of the mystic, although he was at one time friendly to him, since the Baron de Gleichen in his memoirs says: "M. de St. Germain frequented the house of M. de Choiseul, and was well received there." 2

The same writer, who later became one of his devoted students, testifies to the fact that M. de St. Germain ate no meat, drank no wine, and lived according to a strict régime. Louis XV. gave him a suite of rooms in the royal Château de Chambord, and he constantly spent

p. 6

whole evenings at Versailles with the King and the royal family.
end quote from first chapter of Book "The Comte de Saint Germain" by Cooper-Oakley in 1912

By the way this book is available now at amazon.com

Though I have a 1912 copy of this book and my 20 year old daughter just finished reading it before we went to France October 1st, I have primarily used the book as a reference source and read chapters at random trying to ascertain their meaning in relation to the Saint Germain I was taught to love and to respect as a baby and small child growing up in the church of my parents which was the Saint Germain Foundation. My parents were put in charge of the Los Angeles Church of this denomination on Hope Street in Los Angeles, California from 1954 to 1960 when my mother's father passed on.

So growing up with Saint Germain was something that I was always a part of from babyhood on. My mother, and her father both knew Mr. Ballard from 1934 or 1936 on until he passed on in 1939. My father read "Unveiled Mysteries" and "The Magic Presence" and "The 'I AM' Discourses" while sailing in the Pacific Ocean in 1939 when he and his wife and his brother chartered a yacht to Tahiti and the Tuomoto archipelago. They returned in 1940 and 1941 before Pearl Harbor was attacked to the United States and Seattle to where their families were.

So my motivation in all this research is to try to understand who the physical being Saint Germain really was. Just like if you decided to find out who the historical Jesus really was. And since truth in both cases is much stranger than fiction it is bound to be a very interesting journey.

When I went on to research the French royal Chateau de Chambord I found some very interesting things about this place as well. For example, it is believed that it was designed by Leonardo Da Vinci who was into many of the same kinds of things as the Comte De Saint Germain. The other interesting thing for me was that the Comte ate no meat or wine and followed a strict diet which reminds me of many people in Southern California and at this point throughout the world since the 1960s.

In regard to him switching names it appears that this was a quite common way for nobles of his period to protect themselves from the poor and vulgar people who might want to harm or extort money from them or kidnap their relatives. Then like now there were extremes in wealth and poverty throughout Europe at that time so self protection was a necessity by the nobles and the wealthy of that period.

Begin quote from "The Comte de Saint Germain"

One of the chief difficulties we find in tracing his history consists in the constant changes of name and title, a proceeding which seems to have aroused much antagonism and no little doubt. This fact should not, however, have made the public (of the period) dislike him, for it appears to have been the practice of persons of position, who did not wish to attract vulgar curiosity; thus, for instance, we have the Duc de Medici travelling in the years 1698 and 1700 under the name of the Conte di Siena. The Graf Marcolini, when he went from Dresden to Leipzig to meet M. de St. Germain, adopted another name. The Kur-Prinz Friedrich-Christian von Sachsen travelled in Italy from 1738 to 1740, under the name Comte Lausitz. Nearly all the members of the royal families in every country, during the last century, and even in this, adopted the same practice; but when M. de St. Germain did so, we have all the small writers of that period and later calling him an adventurer and a charlatan for what appears to have been, practically, a custom of the time.

Let us now make a list of these names and titles, bearing in mind that they cover a period of time dating from 1710 to 1822. The first date is mentioned by Baron de Gleichen, who says:

p. 7

"I have heard Rameau and an old relative of a French ambassador at Venice testify to having known M. de St. Germain in 1710, when he had the appearance of a man of fifty years of age." 1 The second date is mentioned by Mme. d’Adhémar in her most interesting Souvenirs sur Marie Antoinette. 2 During this time we have M. de St. Germain as the Marquis de Montferrat, Comte Bellamarre or Aymar at Venice, Chevalier Schoening at Pisa, Chevalier Weldon at Milan and Leipzig, Comte Soltikoff at Genoa and Leghorn, Graf Tzarogy at Schwalbach and Triesdorf, Prinz Ragoczy at Dresden, and Comte de St. Germain at Paris, the Hague, London, and St. Petersburg. No doubt all these varied changes gave ample scope and much material for curious speculations.

A few words may fitly here be said about his personal appearance and education. From one contemporary writer we get the following sketch:--

"He looked about fifty, is neither stout nor thin, has a fine intellectual countenance, dresses very simply, but with taste; he wears the finest diamonds on snuff-box, watch and buckles. Much of the mystery with which he is surrounded is

p. 8

owing to his princely liberality." Another writer, who knew him when at Anspach, says: "He always dined alone and very simply; his wants were extremely few; it was impossible while at Anspach to persuade him to dine at the Prince's table."

M. de St. Germain appears to have been very highly educated. According to Karl von Weber, 1 "he spoke German, English, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish very well, and French with a Piedmontese accent." end quote from the Comte de Saint Germain

So if the Comte de Saint Germain was actually Francis Bacon who was born in 1561 and we now have established continuous accounts of his life until 1822 then we have established that he was in 1822, 261 years old. If we take into account all the stories he told he could be dated back to the time of Christ.

However, I might give an alternate explanation of all this. If one put into place reincarnation as experienced especially in India. It is often common for some children to tell their parents who they were previously and to visit where they used to live and even visit with past life relatives with everyone being quite happy about the whole thing. So, what I'm saying here is that it isn't necessary for someone to have lived 2000 years to be able to remember all ones lives of the last 2000 years. However, it does take an exceptional soul and body and mind to cope with the fullness of all lifetimes simaltaneously. Even I remember glyffs of my previous lives but I don't presume to go too deep because it can be very painful to take on everything and everyone from all ones past lives in one's present lifetime. Often if a person isn't very judicious they become lost in past experiences and feelings and lose their present lifetime as a result. So it isn't something one lightly embarks upon in discovering past lives. PRotections must be established first in order for a good end to come about in the present.

So to summarize the names presently known that the Comte De Saint Germain used are:

Comte De Saint Germain in 1710 witnessed by Countess D'Adhemar
Marquis de Montferrat in 1760 witnessed by Countess D'Adhemar
Comte Bellamarre in Venice
Comte Aymar in Venice
Chevalier Shoening at Pisa
Chevalier Weldon at Milan and Leipzig
Comte Soltikoff at Genoa and Leghorn
Graf Tzarogy at Schwalbach and Triesdorf
Prince Ragoczy at Dresden
and the Comte De Saint Germain at Paris, The Hague, London and St. Petersburg.

Another point that should be remembered is that I believe it was Louis the fifteenth that engaged the Comte De Saint Germain as his personal international spy. This is another point that makes sense of all the different names used in different European cities.

Also, the Comte De Saint Germain appears to be financially connected to the Hotel de Ville in Paris and lived at the royal Chateau de Chambord thought to be designed by Leonardo Da Vinci. And since Da Vinci was interested in similar esoteric points of view this brings another interesting element into the mix. Because of his personal protection from King Louis the fourteenth and Fifteenth it is also possible because of the intermarriage of royalty throughout Europe that the Comte De Saint Germain was a distant relative maybe like a cousin or second cousin to one or both of the two French kings.

The Historical Saint Germain

quote by Saint Germain paraphrased," WHETHER BEINGS LOVE ME OR FEAR ME IS IRRELEVANT. IF BEINGS GIVE ME THEIR ATTENTION I WILL TAKE THEM TO ENLIGHTENMENT AND BLISS."

INTRODUCTION

My wife just reminded me that most of the world knows nothing about Saint Germain so I decided to give a brief explanation. The Enlightened and now Ascended Master Saint Germain is thought to have ascended like Jesus in the year 1684 AD somewhere in Europe and very likely in England where he was born as Francis Bacon, the illegitamate son of Queen Elizabeth I of England and who later served as the Lord Exchecheur of London. He was also known as the Compte De Saint Germain in France and England and as Prince Ragocy of Transylvania. Some people believe that before he became ascended that the legends of Vlad the Impaler of Transylvania who was the historic Count Dracula, and the miracle worker, Prince Ragocy of Transylvania became intertwined into the same legend to become the perverted as the present pulp science fiction story of Count Dracula that we see in movies since Bela Lugosi in the 1930's in the United States.

However, although Prince Ragocy of Transylvania, Francis Bacon of London, and the Compte De Saint Germain of France were likely all the same person no one has proof that I know of. In addition to this the Compte De Saint Germain frequented all the courts of Europe and especially that of Louis the 16th and Queen Marie Antonette of France. He spoke, it is said as if he were there at ancient battles thousands of years before and spoke intimately of knowing people from divergent cultures and spoke almost all languages fluently like a native born to the language and without any accent even dead languages and played like a virtuoso on the violyn. I have one of the books of music found by Manly P. Hall and published by his still existent Philosophical Research Society in Los Angeles? It was/is? at 3910 Los Feliz Boulevard Los Angeles, California in the early 1980's when I purchased it. This music is called "The Music of the Compte De Saint Germain". There is also a painting of the Comte. De Saint Germain by the artist Thomas in the Louvre in France. I would like to quote from "Notes on the music of ST. Germain" from inside the published music folio from the Philosophical research society there is no page number other than the fact that I purchased the 266th of 1000 copies on the previous page. begin quote

"The mysterious Comte de St.-Germain is frequently mentioned by memoir writers of the eighteenth century, usually with the highest expression of wonder and admiration. He travelled in elite circles being the confidant of kings, emperors, princes, statesmen, titled ladies, scientists, scholars, and artists. He was always recognized as an aristocrat and nobleman, lived in the best of style, and enjoyed unlimited credit in the banks of Europe. The actual circumstances of St. -Germain's origins are uncertain, and the details of his personal life are shrouded in the deepest obscurity. Perhaps the most comprehensive statement describing the Comte de St. -Germain is contained in a letter dated April 15, 1758, written by Voltaire to the Emperor Frederick of Prussia. "He is a man who never dies and knows everything."

continued quote: "This mysterious gentleman spoke many languages-- including Oriental dialects without an accent, was a brilliant chemist, and artist of rare talents, a diplomat of distinction, and a competent musician. E.M. Oetinger in his work "Graf ST-Germain, Leipzig, 1846 writes "Just as great and worthy of admiration was the musical genius of the Comte. He played almost all instruments, but above all the violin with such consummate mastery that one believed oneself to be listening to a second Maestro Tartini---his first instruction in music he claimed to have enjoyed about 700 years ago from a Benedictine monk, an abbot of Avellana, by the famous master Guido Arezzo, and as concerns church music, claimed to have been educated five centuries later under Palestrina."

quote continued:"According to Madame Blavatsky he was compared to Paganini by those who had heard both. It was also reported of St. -Germain that he sometimes played behind a screen producing the effect of half a dozen instruments sounding at once." end quote

This introduction to the Comte de Saint Germain's music was compiled by Manly P. Hall and I shared only about 1/4 of it. The music introduction says, "The Favorite Songs from the Opera Called the L'Incostanza Delusa to which is added Six Sonatas for Two Violins with a Bass For the Harpsicord on Violincello."

Happily, I just found my copy of the Comte De Saint Germain published by I. Cooper Oakley in 1912 in Milano by "ARS REGIA" CAsa Editrice Del Dott. G. Sulli-Rao. She also published "Traces of a Hidden Tradition in Masonry and Mediaeval Mysticism" which sold for 5 pounds sterling in England and "Mystical Traditions" also for 5 pounds and in french "Traditions Mystiques" traduction francaise for 4 pounds

It appears Cooper Oakley visited famous public as well as private libraries and collections of descendants of those who knew the Comte De Saint Germain to do factual research for her book.

As a part of the introduction from Annie Besant who was then President of the Theosophical Society begins the quote as follow begin quote from Forward---- The Great Occultist and Brother of the White Lodge, fragments of whose life are herein given was the greatest force behind the intellectual reforming movement which received its death blow in the outbreak of the French Revolution. Phoenix-like, it has re-arisen, and it re-appeared in the 19th century as the Theosophical Society, of which this great Brother is one of the recognized Leaders. Still living in the same body the perennial youth of which astonished the observers of the 18th century, He has fulfilled the prophecy made to Madame D'Adhemar that He would show Himself again a century after His farewell to her, and in the growing spritual movement whcih is seen around us on every side, He will be one of the acknowledged Chiefs. Profoundly interesting, therefore, must be every detail that can be gathered of His eighteenth century life, and much is bathered here. London 1911. Annie Besant President of the Theosophical Society.

Chapter 1 of the same book begins on page 11 at the bottom of the page is a quote from Madame Blavatsky "The Comte De St. Germain was certainly the greatest Oriental Adept Europe has seen during the last centuries. quoted from the Thosophical Glossary, H.P. Blavatsky.

Printed in foldout form is a copy of a letter from the Comte De St. Germain written November 22nd 1735 that is in the British Museum. Since it is in French longhand I find it difficult to read even though I am conversant in French, my friends tell me without an accent.

Beginning on page 12 begin quote "Among the strange mysterious beings, with which the eighteenth century was so richly dowered, no one has commanded more universal coment and attention thatn the mystic who was known by the name of the Comte De Saint Germain. Later on page 20 we find Cooper-Oakley believing from research that the Comte de Saint Germain is actually Franz-Leopol, Prince Ragoczy, of Transylvania. She later quotes on the bottom of page 20 and 21 from Prince Karl of Hesse Memoires de Mon Temps P. 133 Copenhagen, 1861. Writing of Monsiour de St. Germain: "Some curiosity may be felt as to his history;I will trace it with the utmost truthfulness, according to his own words, adding any necessary explanations. He told me that he was 88 years old when he came here, and that he was the son of the Prince Ragoczy of Transylvania by his first wife, a Tekeli. He was placed when quite young, under the care of the last Duc de Medici (Gian Gastone), who made him sleep while still a child in his own room. When M. de St. Germain learned that his two brothers, sons of the Princess of Hesse-Wahnfried(Rheifels) had become subject to the Emperor Charles VI., and had received the titles and names of St. Karl and St. Elizabeth, he said to himself:'Very well, I will call myself Santus Germano, the Holy Brother.' I cannot in truth guarantee his birth, but that he was tremendously protected by the Duc de Medici I have learnt from another source." end quote.
Also, I just found two other websites connected to an organization I had affiliation from my birth until age 21(from 1948 until 1969). They are www.saintgermainfoundation.org and saintgermainpress.com --- The first is connected to Shasta Springs located in between Dunsmuir and the city of Mt. Shasta in northern California, USA and the second is where you can locate publications mostly channeled by Mr. Ballard between 1930 and 1939 and Mrs. Ballard until the early 1970's.

Interesting Website on Saint Germain

 The following page is quoted from a website written  about the historical Saint Germain. Every individual and group has it's own experience with Saint Germain. So, this is obviously a version from the AMORC which is one form of Rosicrucian. For the serious student researching Saint Germain I have a feeling that this might be one of the best interpretations of the History of Saint Germain I have seen yet.

Count Saint-Germain

violet-flame-ib.jpg (4306 bytes)The Ascended Master that brings the Violet Flame of Healing and Transmutation for the Aquarian Age is St. Germain. I am going to give some facts about the life of this Rosicrucian master and mystic as presented in Rosicrucian literature and other sources.
His complete name is Violinio Germaine, yes, with final "e", however, it is spelt more commonly as "Germain."  He is affectionately called "The Lavender Lad."
The place of his birth is not historically known simply because he was Francis Bacon and never died since, more on this later.  It is claimed that in childhood he lived in the home of one of the last of the Medici and that he was educated at the University of Siena. This is not true.
From 1710 to 1822 was known in various parts of Europe under the names of the Marquis of Montferrat, the Count Bellamarre, Chevalier Schoening, Chevalier Weldon, Count Solticoff, Graf Tzarogy and Prince Rakoczi or Rakoczy and some identified him as the last Commander of the Knights of Malta.  Throughout Europe he was recognized as a diplomat, scholar and linguist.  His knowledge of other languages was impressive:  he was highly proficient in Latin, Greek, Arabic, Sanskrit and Chinese and had fluency in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese.  His ability to acquire a new language was so great that after coming in contact with a group for a short time started speaking their own language.  He was the emissary par excellence because of his multilingual skills, knowledge of places through extensive traveling, acquaintance with international law and advocacy for peace.
Far above average were his abilities in art and music.  The Countess Genlis in her memories wrote enthusiastically of the extraordinary effect achieved by the quality of his color, especially when painting jewels and ornaments in his pictures.  So great was his interest in gems, according to the Countess, that he willingly sacrificed his pictures as a whole to make the gems seem real.  His pictures may have been signed but with a pseudonym.  In music very little has been known except by some compositions bearing the name Giovannini, supposedly an Italian composer, that have been discovered to be Count St. Germain's compositions.  Of his literary work few has survived except for a copy kept in the French city of Troyes of the original manuscript by St. Germain called "La Tres Sainte Trinosophia" ["The Most Holy Threefold Wisdom"].  The Count destroyed the original.  Divided in twelve sections, suggesting the divisions of the Zodiac and the conditions and life experiences of the candidate, this work describes the stages of progress and initiation from the neophyte to the final stage of perfection as this enfoldment progresses through the four elements, earth, air, fire, and water.  The manuscript is filled with hieroglyphs and symbolic pictures that present difficulties of interpretation even to advanced students.
Because of his unusual activities, permanent youth, his mysterious remarks about his origin, the extravagances people believed and repeated about him, St. Germain was called "Wonder Man" and the "man who never died."  His age was the most mysterious thing since for more than a hundred years he seemed to look about forty five years old.  In 1710, when he already looked forty five and was already known in social circles of Holland, he was in Venice and met with Countess von Georgy.  One interesting detail to mention here, referred to by Franz Graeffer in his book "Recollections of Vienna", is that the mentioned Countess, now elderly, in coming face to face with Count St. Germain stepped back in surprise, saying that fifty years ago in Venice with her husband, then Ambassador, she had known the Count.   It seemed incredible to her that he could have changed so little in appearance, nevertheless St. Germain confirmed to her that he was the same person she had known fifty years earlier.
His knowledge of the courts and of events that happened fifty, sixty or more years ago was so detailed that people were convinced that he actually experienced those circumstances.  For instance, he could describe scenes of the court of Francis I and depict the king with high degree of exactness, even imitating his voice, language and mannerisms.  (Here referring to Francis I,  German Emperor from 1745 to 1765, father of Marie Antoinette.)
Napoleon III is said to have ordered a complete documentation of everything belonging to the Count.  The material then collected was destroyed by fire when the building in which it was deposited was burned during the Commune.
In 1735 he was in Holland again.  Between 1737 to 1742 he was at the court of the Shah of Persia.  From 1743 to 1745 he was active in England during the Jacobite Revolution.  At this time he was arrested in London during his diplomatic efforts on the grounds of being a spy.
In 1745 St. Germain left London for Vienna where he was known as a mystic and philosopher.  He became intimate friend of Emperor Francis I's chief Minister, Prince Ferdinand von Lobkowitz.  Through this friendship he met the Marshal of France, the Duc de Belle-Isle, special emissary of Louis XV of France at the Viennese Court.  In 1757 Duc de Belle-Isle took Saint-Germain to Paris and, being the Minister of War and associated with the high class, the Duc of Belle-Isle most likely introduced the Count to the Court Circles of France and to both Louis XV and Madame Pompadour.  Count St. Germain became well known to the court of Louis XV who in 1758 assigned him a spacious apartment in the castle Chateau de Chambord on the river Loire.  The king regarded him as one of his friends.  At this Chateau the Count wrote much and performed important Alchemical experiments.  There he built a Rosicrucian laboratory and set aside various rooms for his secret meetings with mystical councils of Rosicrucian leaders and representatives of various parts of Europe who came there to confer with the Count.  Among these were Baron de Gleichen, Marquise d'Urfé and the Princess of Anhalt-Zerbst, the mother of Catherine II of Russia.
In 1760 Louis XV sent Count Saint-Germain on a diplomatic mission to The Hague and from there he went to England.  Two or three years later he was in St. Petersburg and at the end of 1763 he met the well-known Casanova at Tournay in Belgium.  Count Cobenzl in a letter written in 1763 said that St. Germain had performed "under my own eyes ... the transmutation of iron into a metal as beautiful as gold".  From 1764 to 1768 the Count was in Berlin.  There he closely associated himself with the Abbé Pernety, Princess Amelie, the old Baron Knyhausen and Madame de Troussel.  In 1770 he went to Tunis with the Comte Maximilian de Lamberg and to Leghorn while the Russian fleet was there.Louis XV (1710-1774), great grandson of Louis XIV, King of France from 1715 to 1774. Governed primarily under the regency of Phillip of Orleans. France intervined in the wars of Succession of Polony and Austria. In the War of the Seven Years (1756-1763), against England and Prussia, he had to surrender the possessions of India, Canada and Louisiana. The First Minister Choiseul was able to get together the four Borbonic reigning branches in the so called Family Pact (1761). The preponderant influence of the royal favorates and the internal politics of the monarch, sometimes contradictory, contributed to favor the action of encyclopedic philosophers, who prepared the way for the French Revolution. His grandson, Louis XVI, married Marie Antoinette, the daughter of Francis I.

Louis XV, King of France (1710-1774), painting by F. H. Drouais
In 1773 he traveled to Mantua after meeting his pupil Cagliostro in Paris.  In 1774, after the death of Louis XV on May 10, the Count went to The Hague as diplomat representing several governments.  From there he may have made a trip to Schwalbach and returned to Holland.
From 1774 to 1776 he met several Rosicrucian and alchemists at Triesdorf.  In the later part of 1776 he attended a high council meeting of Rosicrucians at Leipzig, and next year he helped to establish a Rosicrucian College and Alchemical laboratory at Dresden. During the signing of the American Constitution the continental congress assembled with doors locked was indecisive to sign the proclamation of independence when a "stranger" appeared among them and delivered a passionate speech exhorting them to sign with the commanding words: "Sign that document."  This stranger was St. Germain.  In 1779 he was in Hamburg to consult with a group of Rosicrucians and then he visited the home of Prince Karl of Hesse, who was then the Grand Master of the Rosicrucians in Germany.  Around that time he paid a visit to the Castle of the Duc of the Medici which had an archive for the preservation of the Rosicrucian material from all parts of Europe.  Here was the place for many Rosicrucian conventions and for the addition of Rosicrucian material.
In 1785 and 1786 he had a conference with the Empress of Russia, he visited the Princess de Lamballe while she stood before the tribunal only shortly before she was killed by a bullet.  In 1788, according to the Comte de Challons, St. Germain conversed with him in St. Mark's square in Venice.  In 1793 the Count appeared to Jeanne Du Barry while she waited for the scaffold to be guillotined.Prince Ragoczy of Transylvania - Comte de St. Germain. Frivolous as their life may seem, members of nobility needed mystical truth to be imparted to their souls and unfolding Inner selves. And so St. Germain set himself to give guidance and instruction of high spiritual level to some of these leaders or leaders-to-be who were tired of the fictitious and hypocritical manners and etiquette of social life and whose education was rigid and shallow and, in that sense, deprived of natural spontaneity. He also contacted -and contacts- Rosicrucians and mystics of the highest degrees to help them with their social manners and ethical development. In conjunction with other ascended masters associated with the sacred violet flame, he trains and activates this energy in their bodies. His typical appearance is of medium height, of soft pleasing voice, piercing eyes and wearing a velvet violet coat highly embroidered, with vest of velvet, a ruffled lace front and fancy cuffs. He wears a powdered wig, making him look as a personage of the eighteenth century.
(Click here to read a description of the current physical appearance of Saint Germain.)
He ascended on May 1, 1684.
There is an excellent channeling he gave through Claire Heartsong where he talks about his life as Sir Francis Bacon, he said: [Allison Heartsong poses clarifying questions to St. Germain.]
"Indeed, my mother was Queen of England [referring to Queen Elizabeth I (1533-1603), daughter of Henry VIII] who epitomized the colonization of nations, which was part of her soul memory of 'star wars'.  Indeed beloveds, it is true —Queen Elizabeth was a grand fiery-haired one, to be sure, with a grand heart and a grand mind and a grand vision and a grand knowingness.  She conceived that which be I and she sent me off onto other parentage, the home of the Bacons, where I became quite a boar [the boar was one of the Francis Bacon's signature codes.]
"Allison Heartsong: So you are confirming that Francis Bacon was a son of Queen Elizabeth who gave her son to one of the ladies in waiting. [Francis Bacon was an English Renaissance philosopher (1561-1626 (?)]
"Indeed."
And so you became Francis Bacon?
"
Quite a rowdy, to be sure and not altogether boring.  I did gather to myself the ways and means of impressing others in the high places and a way of being quite witty and quite wondrous with verbiage.  Yet do you know my beloveds, deep within my soul was a knowingness of who I be and of the design of my coming.  The miracles occurred, appearances and 'encounters of the close kind'.  Though I was yet a youngster, I was made aware as Francis Bacon of the knowingness of the ancients and where I had hidden certain treasures.  I did find all of that, which was quite exciting —to open the box of myself, the time capsule, and to come into a completion in ascension in that lifetime.
I staged the death
(of Francis Bacon), that still has some scratching their heads, and continued on to work upon the European scene with a grand vision of union, a grand vision to be in the footsteps of that One who was my son, the One you call Jesus."
A.H. As I understand it, you are saying that even during your youth as Francis Bacon you became aware of soul memory, including your life as Joseph?
"
Indeed, not only soul memory, beloved, but that which I had buried in a variety of different places, actual tangible records that I had laid up for myself for a later time."
Sir Francis Bacon, a reencarnation of Count St. Germain (francisb.jpg (12709 bytes))A.H.:  So in the middle of your life as Francis Bacon, you has awareness that you had these previous lifetimes and you had awareness of your mission, including the United States of America?
"
Indeed, what the planet was coming into, the shift from the Piscean understanding to the Aquarian and to the Era of God."
A.H.: ...that you were laying the foundation for that shift.
"
Yes, it burned brightly within me.  I was entorched with the passion of it and so was that which was my mate, whose name was Portia."
A.H.: And do I understand you mean that at the end of the life of Francis Bacon an ascension or expansion of consciousness into seventh level occurred that did not involved physical death and reincarnating in a body, but simply staging a false death and burial so that your could continue as the embodiment of Francis Bacon now ascended as a seventh level ascended master and that you moved to Europe to continue as St. Germain?
"Indeed."
A.H.: Approximately how long was it from the time you staged the artificial death of Francis Bacon and moved from England to the European continent, before your met Portia?
"We knew one another before."
A.H.: Was she in a physical embodiment or in an ethereal..?
"In an embodiment.  We knew —she knew better than I— we knew the purpose of the ascension was for Union."
A.H.: You mean while you were living the life of Francis Bacon, you met Portia?
"Yes.  She too ascended in that timing.  She lifted her frequency into a grand understating of who she be, so that we might facilitate one another..."

[If you want to know the rest of the story, buy the book. See Reference 3.]
He has reincarnated previously as:

  • A ruler of a Golden Age civilization in the Sahara Desert;
  • A High Priest of Atlantis;
  • Prophet Samuel;
  • Saint Joseph —Essene and protector of Jesus—;
  • Saint Alban;
  • Proclus, the last major Greek Neoplatonic philosopher;
  • Merlin;
  • Roger Bacon;
  • Christopher Columbus, and,
  • Francis Bacon
Saint-Germain serves on the Seven Ray. He is known as the "Lord of the Seven Ray", he is also the "seventh angel" prophesied in Revelation 10:7.  He is the master of the crown chakra which he helps to cleanse.
His twin flame is Portia, the Goddess of Justice who serves on the Karmic Board, his master is Master Rakoczi, of the First Ray, the Great Divine Director, the Manu of the Seventh Root Race, the founder of the Rakoczi dynasty.
With respect to the reincarnation as a ruler of the Golden Age civilization in the Sahara Desert, St. Germain says through Candace Frieze (see the complete discourse in St. Germain on NESARA & Money):
"In my distant past I learned personally the hard way, as most do in Earth, the follies of misusing of money. I headed up a very large civilization that came to an end 50,000 years ago in the area which is now the Sahara Desert. I practiced personally at the time money management, much as the Federal Reserve does today. My peoples lost their sense of spirituality because they became so engulfed in money, wealth, and materialism.
"My society failed from my mismanagement. The money became worthless, just as is what is happening now, on a large scale basis over much of the world. My society collapsed, and had nothing to fall back on, when the money became worthless. We basically just printed and spent, and developed little other skills that we could fall back on, for survival. I learned much then. I did not do this to bring about collapse and control. I did this because I wanted the peoples to be happy and comfortable. They were too comfortable. But I learned much about how money works in that venture.
"Over the last 200 years I have worked behind the scenes to get electronic money up and running. Well, it wasn't electronic then the way it is now, but I did start the banking up that has become what it is today. I did not start up the Federal Reserve System, this mess is the work entirely of the BBB&G’s [Big Bad Boys & Girls]. But electronic transfer of money is efficient and makes it easy to use..."
His physical sacred sites are as follows:
1. Mount Shasta, in Northern California, USA;
2. His Cave of Symbols in Table Mountain, near Jackson Hole in the State of Wyoming, USA, where he has a chair of ascension of his own invention;
3. The Retreat of the Great Divine Director, the Rakoczi Mansion in Transylvania, Romania (on the etheric plane there has been established there the Sacred Temple of the Maltese Cross);
4. Royal Teton Retreat at the Grand Tetons mountains in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, USA.;
5. The Cave of Light in India, in the Himalayas;
6. An etheric Celestial City located over the Sahara Desert;
7. An office in Maryland, USA, where he coordinates mainly all the NESARA activities and the prosperity program fund distribution.
8. A UFO-type spaceship within the solar system where he coordinates operations with the Galactic Federation.
His teachings, being known also as the I AM Presence, are today presented worldwide by various mystical and metaphysical organizations not associated with each other. No one can claim ownership of these teachings as no one can claim ownership of the air you breath or the law of gravity, since the violet flame is a universal solvent and agent, a spiritual law available to anyone.
As sponsor of the Aquarian Age, Saint-Germain brings the Violet Flame teachings for peace, freedom and enlightenment to humankind. The Violet Flame is the ideal tool to heal emotional and physical problems, improve relationships and help grow spiritually. This flame is invoked using decrees or mantras said rhythmically while utilizing meditation and visualization techniques.
In a three dimensional world of the present paradigm the law of polarity and duality manifests implacable as Karma in human affairs. The Violet Flame being a higher spiritual law of the fourth dimensional world and beyond is able to overcome this lower law of cause and effect by transmuting the negative energy and even erasing memories of past mistakes. This flame changes negative into positive and darkness into light.
For each lower law there is always a higher law that supersedes it.  For the law of gravity, there is the law of levitation, for the law of karma, there is the law of forgiveness and compensation through the violet flame, dispensations, intercessions and other meditative techniques and actions.  The omnipotence of the Supreme Director always prevails over his/her laws.  If you do your daily prayers and meditations with the violet flame in humbleness, with clear intention and devotion, you will discover that what was written in that arcane forgotten manuscript that seemed so incredible, miraculous and magic will come to be true word by word and line by line...
This biography would be incomplete without mentioning that Beloved Ascended Master St. Germain helped Alan Greenspan, the Head of the Federal Reserve, write the NESARA Law draft.  St. Germain is the main coordinator of the Celestial Extraterrestrial Forces, the Ascended Masters and the Earth Allies (White Knights) in the conception and writing of the law, its announcement, the protection of allied terrestrial forces during the preannouncement period, the implementation of NESARA and the funding and distribution of the prosperity programs.  See information on NESARA here: http://www.luisprada.com/Protected/NESARA_law.htm .In the navigation bar see several articles about St. Germain and his involvement with this US Law.  He also predicted the Fall from power of the Illuminati and their Evil Empire as is covered in the article "NESARA Foreseen by St. Germain" at http://www.luisprada.com/Protected/NESARA_foreseen_by_st_germain.htm .  NESARA ushers in the Aquarian Golden Age and marks the crumbling, arrest and trial of the Evil Illuminati who for centuries have positioned themselves in power and in control of the monetary system of the world.  For the coordination of all these activities St. Germain has an office in Maryland, USA.

Literature on the real Comte De Saint Germain

[edit] Literature about St. Germain

[edit] Biographies

There are several "authoritative" biographers who usually do not agree with one another. Probably the two best-known biographies are Isabel Cooper-Oakley's The Count of St. Germain (1912) and Jean Overton-Fuller's The Comte de Saint-Germain: Last Scion of the House of Rakoczy (1988). The former is a compilation of letters, diaries and private records written about the Count by members of the French aristocracy who knew him in the 18th century. Dr. Raymond Bernard's book The Great Secret – St. Germain is biographical and covers many aspects of the Counts' life including his conflation with Sir Francis Bacon and the author of the Shakespearean opus. Manly Palmer Hall in his The Secret Teachings of All Ages, describes some of the same attributes as Dr. Bernard, including the attribution of the writings of Shakespeare to a great adept like Francis Bacon, who could be amalgamated with the Count of St. Germain.
There have also been numerous French and German biographies, among them Der Wiedergänger: Das zeitlose Leben des Grafen von Saint-Germain by Peter Krassa, Le Comte de Saint-Germain by Marie-Raymonde Delorme and L'énigmatique Comte De Saint-Germain by Pierre Ceria and François Ethuin.

[edit] Occult biography

A book titled The Great Secret, Count St. Germain, by Dr. Raymond Bernard purports that St. Germain was actually Francis Bacon by birth, and later authored the complete Plays attributed to Shakespeare. He also contends, as does the Saint Germain Foundation in Chicago, IL., that Francis Bacon was the child of Queen Elizabeth and Lord Dudley but that it was kept quiet. According to the theory, Francis was raised by the Bacon family. end quote from wikipedia under the heading:

" The Count of St. Germain"

As one goes back further and further into time it becomes more and more difficult to be sure of anything. So, for example, when many people talk to me about the 1960s, 1950s or 1940s who were not born yet, I usually can see that they only see the decades that they didn't live through in a sort of caricature, sort of like a cartoon in a sense which is like real life without 96% of what it was really like left out. So, even if we try to piece together who "The Count of Saint Germain" was or still is, as time goes on there is less and less historically that we can be sure of.

This is why there is so much debate about people 2000 years ago like Jesus or about other historical figures that existed. Even today, say, for example, if we were doing a historical documentary about Princess Diana, there would be a great deal that we wouldn't be able to find out in regard to her life or her death. Likewise, trying to find out the "truth" about Saint Germain at a certain point boils down to "What do you choose to believe?" just like many things in life.

When I was a child I was taught to believe in God, Jesus, Saint Germain, the Archangels and the angels, Mother Mary the mother of Jesus, Quan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, Gautama Buddha, etc.

As I grew older I experienced Jesus and Saint Germain as real beings as an intuitive and as a metaphysician starting about when I was 5 years old with Jesus when he came and healed me by turning the whole room I was in Gold when I had Chicken Pox. Before that Archangel Michael came to me around age 2 while my Scottish Grandmother was singing "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing" around Christmas 1950 and likely healed me of whooping cough. I just realized that right now for the first time that he came to heal me.

Since then I have had thousands and thousands of unexplainable experiences all around the world and had my life saved countless times by Jesus, Saint Germain, Archangel Michael and his angels etc. Whether any of you believe me or not is not the point. The point is that I am witnessing all this to you that this can be and "Was for Me" a life changing and life saving experience hundreds and thousands of times by now.

I deeply respect people's rights to believe whatever they want to believe from their own real life experiences. However, it is difficult for me to respect people who only believe things because they read it somewhere. But that's just me. So, maybe that just means I'm a hands on kind of guy that doesn't believe much unless I can experience it firsthand. Any way you look at it I'm very grateful to God, and Jesus and Saint Germain and Archangel Michael and Mary the Mother of Jesus who have all saved my life and kept me alive through unbelievable things worldwide during this lifetime. It is my hope that by studying more about Saint Germain, Francis Bacon, Prince Ragocy(other spellings) that your life will be better and more amazing and full of grace than it is now. Blessings.

Google Translate: English to French also about spoken languages by speech robot

My son and I were translating several things between English, Korean, Japanese and Hindi and interested with what we found. But also, I realized that now you can not only translate everything on Google Translate, you can also have anything in at least 65 or more languages read to you in Google translate as well. Though I don't think you can expect over 70% accuracy on any translation you can now also hear it (in whatever language you want that is available) spoken by a lady in that language. This was amazing for me to see this in action. So, for example, you can translate one word into another language and then not only see it in it's native characters but also hear it in it's native language: Amazing!  Just click on the icon that looks like a speaker sort of and the robot lady will speak it in that language whatever is in the box your speaker icon is on. I did the following in English and then took it to French so you could see. But, you actually must go to Google Translate at the site itself in order to actually hear the spoken words in that language.

So, I was thinking it would be possible to take something, translate it into words and then record it translated into speech and to play it for someone who either cannot read or cannot see at any time or place. Amazing!

note: Getting someone to speak my site for example will not work with the button to the upper right on my blog page. Though it will translate my whole site including all the word buttons it does not allow for translating verbally as well. What you have to do to have anything including from my site translated verbally is you have to go to Google.com and then call up Google Translate and then put inside the box there through the copy and paste function at the top of most of your pages to the left where it says "Edit". If you click on Edit it opens up into something that among the words are "Copy" and Paste. You take the word or long paragrapsh and first highlight them by holding down your left click on your mouse while moving the mouse over them until everything you want is covered in blue usually. Then release your mouse and go up into "Edit" and go down to the "Copy" function and click on Copy. Everything that you highlighted in blue should copy on the first or second try. Then put your cursor inside the box in Google Translate that you want to translate and click on Paste from the edit function area. Everything you highlighted and copied should as a copy go to the box. Then if you click on Translate at Google Translate it should translate into whatever language you specified it to be translated into. Then after it is translated you can read or listen to the translation. To listen click on the small speaker symbol at the bottom of the translation box to hear it translated verbally as well as written. end note.

begin quote:

Here is another reference that I put in after I made the translation to French so it won't be in the French translation:

A hero of romance; a charlatan; a swindler and an adventurer; rich and varied were the names that showered freely upon him. Hated by the many, loved and reverenced by the few, time has not yet lifted the veil which screened his true mission from vulgar speculators of the period. Then as now, the occultist was dubbed charlatan by the ignorant; only some men and women here and there realised the power of which he stood possessed. The friend and councilor of kings and princes, an enemy to ministers who were skilled in deception, he brought his great knowledge to help the west, to stave off in some small measure the storm clouds that were gathering so thickly around some nations. Alas! his words of warning fell on deafened ears, and his advice went all unheaded.

With this fact we have become acquainted duing the careful investigations which we have been making on the subject. Where the archives are situated we have also learned, but we have not yet in all cases received permission to make the necessary researches.end quote

I then used Google Translate to translate it into French. Here is the same thing in French:
