There may be no real way to separate the Muslim Brotherhood from Al Qaeda at this point. Because the most extreme (potentially or actually Al Qaeda) will be involved in most or all of the blood letting now. Even the ones walking around with AK-47s in plain clothes shooting at Muslim Brotherhood supporters have every likelihood of being Al Qaeda plants rather than other types.
So, it is my conclusion that this situation was planned by Al Qaeda. It has all the hallmarks of Al Qaeda planning in action taken directly from the playbook of how things work (or don't work) presently in Syria.
I learned today that the Muslim Brotherhood said that unless Morsi was put back in power that they would "burn down Cairo". And at present this appears to be what is happening there.
One commentator said that this looks a lot like when 200,000 Algerians were shot and killed by the military there. This may be what we are looking at here as well. Once blood is spilled often there is no political way back to democracy in situations like these. The military would have no choice but to wipe out the leadership and activists of the Muslim Brotherhood if the burning of Cairo continues. So, 200,000 dead Muslim Brotherhood supporters as horrific as that might be is what we could see in the next year or two in Egypt the way things are presently going there.
However, if that actually happens democracy may be lost there for a generation or more.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
