2007 plus 93,000
2008 minus 301,000
2009 minus 421,000
2010 plus 85,000
2011 plus 175,000
2012 plus 183,000
2013 plus 178,000 so far (the year isn't finished yet).
To make some sense of these figures you have to allow for the minus ones in 2008 and 2009. When an economy loses this many jobs it usually can't catch up for years from even one minus year like this because so many people lose jobs, then so many people can't find jobs and then you add to this mess all the High School Graduates that might not go to College and College Graduates that also can't find jobs. So, you actually go way further into this jobless hole than the above figures indicate.

I was listening to someone say recently that it likely will be 2020 to 2025 to catch up job wise to where we were in 2007 and 2006 once again if then.
