Like "Lost" this is a science fiction soap opera and in Under the Dome, Stephen King is a master of jerking everyone around. This is one of the most addicting things I've ever watched on a variety of levels. So, unless you want to get really addicted to a series don't watch it.
However, if you like Stephen King "The Master of jerking your subconscious mind around" sort of like the writer of "Twilght Zone". So, if you like science fiction (and if you have enough time to watch the whole thing) it is a fun ride if you can get over being jerked around a whole lot like you are on a full time roller coaster in every episode. You literally have no idea what is going to happen next sort of like in "Lost".
