The river of storms off the Pacific ocean

The two pineapple express storms don't just hit California, Oregon and Washington, they also hit Canada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and points east and dump snow on Boston (now at an all time record  of snow  on the ground).

So, the atmospheric river doesn't just affect the west coast it is inundating the East Coast with more snow than they have ever seen at one time too.

So, even though it arrives here warm like Hawaii, it soon travels north to Washington and Canada where it cools down from more arctic air and eventually causes problems on the east coast just like the last several storms have to the northeast coast of the U.S.
