The above article (just between now and December 5th has now surpassed even
Cessna 152
as the most read article of all time at this site. This is pretty surprising but it's nice to know this many people want to better understand what humans have been doing to the environment now for at least 12,000 years or more by everything they do including burning fires, hunting, fishing, growing things and other ways humans pollute and change the earth.
The important thing here is not to just "Freak out" but to go beyond that to begin to figure out solutions to the "Human problem" here on earth and find ways so the human race doesn't just go extinct here on earth from pollution or overpopulation or both.
However, I don't think either of these could actually happen because of the ecosphere earth. Just Earth trying to right the wrongs humans have done to earth likely is going to "take out" 1/2 to 2/3 of the present populations of earth through floods, droughts, winds, ice ages etc over the next few hundred years or so.
I was reading about
Countries Rush for Upper Hand in Antarctica
Antarctica could likely be sort of like the Hawaii of the world within 300 to 500 years which is why so many countries want a piece of Antarctica because it is a land mass covered with ice that is actually mostly drinkable water when melted. So, Antarctica will become over time more of a "Gold Rush" of natural resources for the world over time as it melts off and actually becomes more and more a continent people can actually live on more easily.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
