Reality Check: The last President who was Republican to be voted into office by Republicans with the popular vote was Bush I in 1988.
You might say, "What About Bush II, his son?"
The reality is Gore won the popular vote in 2000 elections. It was the Supreme Court (rightly or wrongly) that put Bush II into office.
Then you might say, "Well. He was re-elected."
Yes. But by then we were in a war when people don't usually change leadership in a war (2 wars at that point).
So, here are the demographic realities. There are no longer enough white Republican Americans to EVER elect another Republican President into office EVER. And Republicans are dying off much much faster than they are being born. To add to this most children of Republicans tend to be Democrats or Independents until they are at least 30 if they ever return to being Republicans for a variety of reasons.
For example, I was raised a Conservative Republican and by college I was more of a Democrat in my 20s but by my 30s I became more of an Independent. Why?
Because one must think about the needs of the downtrodden while also thinking about the needs of the smarter richer people who create jobs for the rest. If you don't do both how can you live with yourself?
So, the only way another Republican President will EVER win the popular vote is if they also have the Hispanic and Black votes too.
So, the Only Republican that has any chance at all of being elected President likely is Trump because he is not like any Republican I have ever seen.
However, I also think this would be a complete disaster for our country sort of like if we elected someone like Putin to be President of the United States.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
