Georgia Power Company Disputes 'Outage' Behind Delta's System Failure

This is mostly because the power company doesn't want to be sued in court for damages to Delta. So, this is what is really going on here. However, what is more likely to have happened is either a hack from Russia or China or a large Solar Flare because Solar Flares have knocked out airline computers before for 12 or more hours at a time so the whole airline has to shut down operations worldwide. So, this wouldn't be the first time this has happened and if this is it it likely won't be the last.

What they did when this happened to Alaska Air Lines when we were in Hawaii in 2010 or so is they told people they couldn't fly home. However, our older daughter's plane to Portland came in (because they couldn't stop flying mid ocean) then the computer system was fixed. So, she could fly back on that plane anyway within an hour of the time she was supposed to.
