Basically, what a Haboob is is a collapsing Thunderstorm which brings winds straight down upon the ground that brings up dust, and clay particles into the air between 20 and 50 or 60 miles per hour and drives them outwards from the storm. This sometimes (if it is sand will strip homes and cars of paint because of the sandstorms it creates. And you don't want to be sand blasted (you or your car and get caught out in it either. I was once in a sand storm when I was 6 in Death Valley and the car I was in had all the paint stripped off it and all the windows ruined. So, the owner of the car had to repaint and replace all the car windows. This would have been 1954. To stand outside in this would strip your skin off your face so we didn't do that we stayed inside the car and stayed alive and let the car be ruined instead. I suppose you could set up a tent and get inside so your face and eyes wouldn't bleed if you are caught outside in something like this in real life.
