If you understand anything about humanity on earth it is that they don't all think the same way. some are educated and some are not regarding keeping earth alive for everyone.
For example, I saw parents not stopping children in Yosemite from chasing down butterflies trying to kill them. When I grew up kids did this a lot now and we now have about 90 to 99% less Monarch butterflies partly because of this. However, I'm not 5 years old now I'm 70. also, as what monarch butterflies eat becomes less and less available there will tend to be less and less and less of them too. Also, Butterflies like many insects often pollinate plants simply because pollen gathers on their legs as they visit various plants. It's not just bees that pollinate plants or bumblebees. For example, hummingbirds also pollinate flowers and plants and many other birds and insects too. In fact birds through their dropping spread things like boysenberry and blackberry seeds which make more of those plants in the wilds and this is likely true for blueberries and other berries as well all over the world.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is any creature whether it is a butterfly or a hummingbird is important to plant life on earth (that there will be any plant life left on earth at all). And they also might decide whether there is ANY FOOD LEFT OF ANY KIND FOR humans to eat too.
So, as you go through life think about this because photosynthesis in plants is the basis of all life on earth. Without it nothing lives.
We ALL cannot be apex predators. Something has to eat the plants or nothing lives at all.
Without water, soil and photosynthesis all life on earth ends rather abruptly.
It's how the dinosaurs died. Photosynthesis stopped for a long period of time and the dinosaurs froze and starved to death. It was caused by a piece of the asteroid belt hitting earth in the Gulf of Mexico which created a "Nuclear Winter" effect 65 million years ago.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
