Why?
Because each of the Trillions or quadrillions and beyond of beings on this planet and all others and beings who live inside of Stars and every other type of life form that scientists on earth either don't know about or don't recognize at present has it's own version of reality somewhat different than every other being.
Even among humans we have developed languages because Telepathy wasn't enough, and sign language wasn't enough either. But, also language separates people as much as it draws them together at times too.
So, finding common ground is important.
After soul traveling the Solar System and Galaxy during my 20s I was very aware of the problem of an infinite number of versions of reality always in all beings.
So, when I first realized that Buddha soul traveled the Galaxy like I did in my 20s I felt very at home with Buddhism knowing this. He even spoke and wrote of the planets he visited and meeting the people there so because of this I felt very home in Buddhism and realized his Lam Rim path and his point of view of that all beings suffer in somewhat the same way and that our suffering bound us all together as beings.
In the western World we might call that "Woundology" in that all relationships in that psychological format are formed around similar kinds of suffering. So, we identify with each other in how we have suffered that is similar to each other. We do this because unless someone has suffered in our ways it is difficult to understand each other's point of view or philosophy of life.
Class struggles and even wars between nations are often built upon not understanding each other's suffering for example.
Because often our philosophies of life are actually based upon HOW we have suffered being born and growing up and in school and being beat up by bullies or having to fight bullies and win but be injured sometimes for life from these fights.
And hopefully we haven't Had to kill anyone of our same species in order to stay alive into now.
So, in Buddhism I found a common denominator for all beings in the universe: our suffering.
So, in praying for all beings to attain bliss it was a way for all beings to overcome their suffering.
by 1980 when I was 32 I had discovered this prayer that I have given millions of times since then:
May all beings attain bliss and the cause of bliss
May all beings be free from suffering and the cause of suffering
May all beings never be without the supreme bliss that is free
from all near and far all grasping and aversion.
By this merit may I become like all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas
of the Ten directions and the three times. Not one being left behind.
IN some ways the peace I feel most of the time is from experiencing this manifest
in the past, present and future of the entire physical universe all the time.
By God's Grace
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
