It's interesting to me that the Dalai Lama is considered a living incarnation of Buddha Avaloketesvara "The Buddha of Compassion" and "OM MANI PADME HUNG" invokes this. There are silver bracelets that have this carved in Tibetan into them that you see a lot in India and Nepal and also parts of the U.S. like San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Portland and Seattle and places like this, sometimes nationwide. The bracelet invokes Avaloketeshvara or the Buddha of Compassion or the Dalai Lama who is the physical incarnation of the Buddha of Compassion here on earth.
Also, Krishna is the God of Compassion in Hinduism and Brahmanism.
Also, Jesus is the Prince of Peace and the Son of God and also Jesus Christ.
So, depending upon what you believe all three of these are Dieties of various sorts.
Buddhas are Dieties too just in a different philosophy than we were raised with here in the U.S.
