IT doesn't matter where you live on earth it's likely eventually everyone is going to be either cooked, frozen, flooded, hurricaned or tornadoed or have a tree blown down on their house or burned to death.
This doesn't mean it's going to kill you and everyone you know it just means something is likely to scare the hell out of you if it hasn't already.
So, preparing for the things you likely are going to face where you live might be appropriate about right now. People who prepare might have a better chance to survive whatever they are going to face.
The ones that aren't prepared are likely going to be statistics: in other words the statistics of those who are dead or maimed or who have serious PTSD.
It's only a matter of time for everyone.
One of the ways to prepare is to train your intuitive senses so you better sense what is coming so you can save yourselves and your families because you know what's coming by the way you feel and sense that day to begin with. Then you avoid the problem so at least you and your families can survive whatever it is. So, it might scare the hell out of you still but at least you and your families can survive it intact.
