A Real Angels primary directive would be towards Life and not death

However, then there are the Police or Soldier angels who bring the 2nd death upon souls who will not bend the knee to God.

Some people that they pierce with their sacred Fire Swords through people's hearts or brains only physically die so they cannot do anymore harm on earth.

But, some souls have harmed too many souls and then their karma not only kills their bodies but also kills their souls as well.

To make more sense of this you have to bring in reincarnation not only here on earth but in multiple dimensions, through heavens and other planets and universes to make full sense of this.

So, some of these souls taken out through the 2nd death by Archangels have been harming souls for millions or billions of years before they are ended permanently.

And other souls are just childish and so their bodies die and then they get another chance to do it right.

But, generally speaking angels are working for Life both in the here and in the hereafter. Only the Archangels (God's police and Soldier angels) end souls on God's behalf or end human bodies on God's behalf.

Other angels have different jobs in helping mankind evolve.

Earth is a place where God sends souls to learn to be self disciplined and to become Free thinkers capable of acting like God and making good decisions on their own so God doesn't have to constantly tell angels what to do.

So, in this sense men and women on earth are literally the "Children of God" that God is training to think for themselves to bring beauty and kindness and order and creativity to the universe.
