Self Driving Cars are one form of artificial Intelligence
And so are passenger planes capable of taking off and landing by themselves if they need to. Pilots in some ways are optional now on most passenger planes by the way. They mostly are there for emergencies and so that passengers feel safer having people actually flying the plane instead of artificial intelligence. The same is true of self driving cars when taxi drivers are present but often not holding the wheel and only supervising driving and making sure the car doesn't crash into anything by accident. I have often wondered if they eventually will hire people who actually cannot drive a car in some countries just to pretend to be able to drive in an emergency but not really able to in some self driving taxis around the world.
