Government in a democracy with two parties can only function if the two parties can compromise. This is no longer possible for a variety of reasons. The biggest blame has to fall upon Trump who runs the Country like a Dictator. IN some ways the problem is no different than with Assad in Syria where a minority government persecutes Sunnis. IN some ways the problem we are presently dealing with is partly caused by what happened in Syria and Iraq already when a minority government (like Trump's government is also a minority government that forces it's will on the majority.
So, because the minority party, The Republicans, are acting like Assad and Hitler, the Majority party, The Democrats cannot give into this minority dictatorship ruled by Trump.
Therefore, there can no longer be compromise from the majority towards the minority. However, the minority is abusing the majority of the people now.
What is the solution?
There easily will be riots in the streets soon. Like people are demonstrating now to open the government it likely will get worse.
The majority will no longer take the abuse of the minority Republican Party. This is the truth here.
When Trump didn't unite the country and turned it into a dictatorship he created this problem.
The majority Democratic party is getting a divorce from the abusive Republican party. This is a given.
