has accelerated through various different phases since the 1980s. The first phase was Walmart that came into communities and destroyed mom and pop stores all across america and put them out of business with super low cost goods out of mostly China. Then Amazon and Costco and Target got into the business and perfected this Walmart model but only Amazon decided to get rid of storefronts entirely and make (no storefronts it's model). Other businesses are doing this too and the "No store fronts model" is obviously the cheapest model that can put out of business eventually all store fronts across the U.S.
This is where we are now where all storefronts eventually might be gone except for boutique outlets that women have to have to actually try on clothes that they want to wear before they buy them.
So, inevitably store fronts of all sizes are quickly becoming a thing of the past.
What will eventually replace Amazon like Businesses?
I'm thinking that people will develop ultimate 3d printers that can make in a home almost anything from plastics to metal devices to maybe even eventually electronics. At this point all you would need is the raw materials to build (with your device at home) clothes, and all non-food items that you tend to buy even at Amazon Prime. So, logically speaking the main supplier of these raw materials likely would be a company similar to amazon that provided the raw materials for your super duper 3d Printers that could literally make anything right at home without having to go anywhere to buy it.
