Why?
Because our deaths per day are only about 1/3 to 1/4 of Italy but our population is 5 to 6 times each of these countries. If we can continue to keep our deaths below 500 a day for the next two months I think we will have succeeded in flattening the curve. However, states not sheltering in place already could mess that up for all the other states that have been sheltering in place for some time now.
France, Spain and Italy are still having more deaths per day than the U.S. (at least so far)
