I was reading today how they said they couldn't reopen after June because they had already lost so much money in the shutdown. I don't think Macy's is alone in this because storefront chains in general that don't sell food have been hurting a lot since Amazon and no store businesses have done so well just delivering everything from warehouses.
So, storefront chains and Mom and Pop stores across the U.S. may mostly go out of business by June if they cannot reopen then. Some are already gone because of too high a debt load already and going into bankruptcy nationwide including restaurants, bars and big box stores etc.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
