Because viruses and plagues have no morals, they have no culture, they have no mercy at all of any kind. They just kill and kill and kill as long as they can worldwide wherever they are transported by human beings carrying them mostly unknowing.
So, because of this a virus or plague can kill up to 95% of the people wherever it goes.
We are relatively lucky with this one because it only kills (in civilized places) only about 2% of the population. But, we have also seen more than 12 to 20% of people dying some places where medical care isn't like the United States or Europe. But, if you are an American and live near larger well funded hospitals then you likely have only a 2% chance of dying from Coronavirus.
However, if you live out in the country your chance of dying if you become infected rises significantly.
So, the further you are away from good hospitalization the more likely you won't get this (if you are careful) but if you do get it your chances of dying are significantly higher also because of your distance from good health care.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
